Surfshark is a globally registered trademark of Surfshark Ltd., a private company based in the British Virgin Islands (BVI). Unlike most countries worldwide, the BVI has no data retention laws that force businesses to collect data about their customers. The legal submission to this overseas territory’s jurisdiction allows us to implement Surfshark’s No Logs policy fully.
However, the company does not operate from the BVI. People at Surfshark are spread out across more than a dozen countries. The company also has five offices located in Lithuania, the UK, Cyprus, the Netherlands, and the Philippines.
