Why you can trust Thinx Inc. products

At its core, Thinx Inc. was founded to provide safe, comfortable, and sustainable options for people with periods and bladder leaks. Customer safety is important to us, and so is your trust. That’s why we’ll always be honest and transparent about how our products are made. From rigorous absorbency testing, to objective third-party tests of our finished products, here are all the steps we take to uphold the highest standards of product safety.

All Thinx Inc. underwear are rigorously tested for harmful chemicals, and independently certified through STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, which includes REACH requirements [20.HUS.04850 | HOHENSTEIN HTTI]. This OEKO-TEX®️ certification means every component—from fabric to trim—is thoroughly tested and certified for ecological safety. Our finished products also undergo third-party testing by Bureau Veritas, an accredited, globally recognized facility. We're committed to third-party testing because it puts your safety first, ensuring that all results are honest and objective.

Our certifications and safety standards

All Thinx Inc. underwear are certified based on the rigorous chemical safety requirements of the STANDARD 100 by OEKO -TEX®️ [20.HUS.04850 | HOHENSTEIN HTTI], and before we purchase raw materials from suppliers, we ensure that those suppliers are OEKO-TEX®️ certified, too. We also test our finished products through Bureau Veritas, an accredited, globally recognized third-party lab, to ensure they are compliant with REACH regulations. Our absorbency testing, which tests the absorbency capacity of each style of underwear, is conducted at Bureau Veritas, too. We also conduct wear tests, which evaluate the absorbency capacity of each style of underwear when it’s worn by actual people with periods and bladder leaks, and use fit models to ensure our products sit just right.

Do Thinx Inc. products contain toxic metals or nanoparticles?

No, Thinx Inc. products do not contain toxic metals or engineered nanoparticles. The anti-odor layer in our products is treated with Agion®, an EU regulated treatment that uses safe, non-migratory silver zeolite and silver copper zeolite. These compounds stay on the surface of the underwear and don’t travel into your body.
